2019 WORKS
HIDE AND SEEK
16x18in
acrylic, colored pencils
This was a multiple self-portrait I completed in the end of 2019. In this piece I really wanted to emphasize color and saturate the original image of my face I used for reference. I wanted to stray from traditional self-portraits by adding another me behind the door. I wanted to also capture the ups and downs of my mood my own mental health.
LILY
24x20 inÂ
acrylic, plastic on foamcore
This is a mixed-media expressive portrait. Painting human portraits have always been a struggle for me so this piece was a nice way to practice that. As requested in this assignment, I had to work with unusual things that are not commonly used in paintings, like colorful floppy discs and straw, which can be seen exploding out of the neck.
SEVENTH CIRCLE
15x12ft
exterior paint on brick
This was a mural I completed on the outside of the Seventh Circle Music Collective in downtown Denver. It was done to cover graffiti to help keep the Collective running. I spend a lot of time here and have made many memories so it was an honor to be asked to paint a mural there.
BOUND
7x10in
acrylic, collage
This piece emphasizes struggles that come with gender dysphoria. I wanted to represent feelings of inadequacy when it comes to masculinity on the gender spectrum.
SILHOUETTE PORTRAIT
12x12in
acrylic on wood
This piece is another that I wanted to express the highs and lows in my mental health. The shadow of me represent the choking and suffocating feeling that is negative emotions, like anger, depression, hopelessness, and intrusive thoughts. The colors represent me and the creativity that comes with the extreme highs of my mood.
NAIL BITER

7x12in
acrylic
This piece represents a bad habit I experience. I wanted to call myself out in this piece and experiment with painting a part of the body that isn't a face.
VENICE
16x12in
acrylic
This is an observational piece I created after a trip to Venice, Italy. This trip was life-changing and I was exposed to so much beautiful art in all forms. Even the buildings were art, so I wanted to capture the beautiful architecture that I saw. This was also the first time I have painted architecture, which was a fun experience.
TOOTH SCARF
48x10in
silk dye on silk scarf
I created this piece while at the immersive art camp that is Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. I collect bones and teeth so this seemed fitting. I had never used silk dyes before so it was fun to experience the ink and the lawlessness and uncontrollable aspect of the running dye.
PRAISE
16x12in
alcohol markers
In this piece, I wanted to highlight the confusing thing that is religion and my own experience with it. I believe that religion can be positive and negative, and I have experienced both of sides of that.
CONCEALED
12x12in
acrylic, collage
This was a collage I made while doing the BFA program at the University of Michigan. I wanted to convey being seen an not heard, thus the eyes.
RUNNER
20x20in
acrylic, collage on foamcore
This was an experimental piece done using acrylic and collage paper from magazines that have been soaked in Citrasolv. The runner in this piece is one of my closest friends, Lexi.
PALETTE PIECE
10x10in
acrylic
This is a creative take on painting. This was an assignment given to use a paint palette to create a piece of art, instead of using it to supply paint to traditional pieces. In a way, this is a self-portrait, as I used myself as inspiration for the zombie pictured in the piece.
